9 th August, New Delhi. Carrying forward the initiative ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav ‘ by Government of India to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Independence with pride, the National School of Drama (NSD) an autonomous organization under Ministry of Culture, will spread the tales of freedom from the stage. Inspired from struggles and stories of freedom, three plays will be staged on 12 August, 13 August, and 14 August. Performances will be staged with plays Jagdamba, Bapu and Pehla Satyagrahi in association with various eminent theatre directors and artists. The three-day event will showcase the contribution of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, along Kasturba Gandhi (Ba) and others during the freedom struggle. With such tales of glory, these plays will introduce you to moments of utmost importance in the freedom struggle.
