🎭 A New Chapter Begins at NSD Bengaluru Centre 🎭

The National School of Drama, Bengaluru Centre marked a significant milestone with the Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony & Bhoomi Poojan for its upcoming Mini Auditorium (Multipurpose Hall) on 24 December 2025 at Kalagrama.

The ceremony was graced by Dr. C. N. Manjunatha, Hon’ble MP, Bengaluru Rural; Shri Munirathna, Hon’ble MLA, Rajarajeshwari Nagar; Shri Chittaranjan Tripathy, Director, NSD, New Delhi; Smt. B. Jayashree, eminent theatre personality & NSD alumna; and Dr. K. V. Nagaraj Murthy, Chairman, Karnataka Nataka Academy, in the presence of Asst. Prof. Aruna Kumar Malik, Centres In-Charge, NSD, and Smt. Veena Sharma Bhusnoormath, Centre Director, NSD Bengaluru Centre.

The Hon’ble MP,Bengaluru Rural and Hon’ble MLA also assured their continued support for further infrastructural development of the Centre.

This upcoming Mini Auditorium will significantly enhance the Centre’s capacity to host quality theatrical presentations, strengthening Bengaluru’s vibrant theatre ecosystem.
