Dear Student, On the basis of preliminary interview held in Varanasi from 26^th to 29^th July, 2018 the following candidates have been provisionally selected for admission to One Year.

List consists of Unreserved, Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy layer), Scheduled Cast and Scheduled Tribe Candidates.

As per the clarification of Govt. of India, the candidates under OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) are required to submit latest OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate issued by the Competent Authority at the time of admission.

Selected candidate is required to report to NSD, Kabir Chauraha Varanasi (U.P) on 19 August, 2018 at 10.30 am(Positively)  with  Original Degree and  other  Certificate for completing admission process.

• Introduction to the Classical Theater of the World (Greek, Roman etc.)
• Introduction to Indian Classical Theater
• Natyashashtra – First Chapter Full (Theatrical Origin)
• Dramaturgy, decryption, four-tide acting (Aangik, Vachik, Satvik, Aaharya)
• Natyashashtra – The sixth chapter is complete (ras exchanges)
• Natyashashtra – Seventh chapters complete (bhav)
• Bhas – Urubhangam, Swapanavasavadattam
• Kaalidasa – Abhijnanashakuntalam or Malavikagnimitram
• Shudraka – Mrichchhkatikam
• Bodhayana – Bhagwadjjukiyam or Mattavilasam
• Text and study of the structure and review of the plays written above
• Study of navras
• (Conversations with directors by recording of the Sanskrit plays like – Urubhangam, Abhijnanashakuntalam, Madhyamvyayog)

THEATRE MUSIC

Growth in the musical sensitivity of students by the knowledge of different sounds and rhythm structures developed from the drama article. Developing an understanding of classical color scheme based on the typical use of aesthetic context and theater.
