The National School of Drama in colloboration with LAHDC & CIBS,Leh organizing First ever Summer Theatre Festival 2024 in Leh-Ladakh. The opening ceremony was held on 26th June 2024 at Arya Nagarjuna Auditorium (CIBS),Choglamsar, Leh. Shri Elijah Gergan,Educationist and philosopher was the Chief Guest.Shri Stanzin Chosphel,Executive Councillor Lahdc,Leh, Shri Mipham Othsal, Senior NSD Alumni & Sangeet Natak Awardee alongwith Shri Pradeep K Mohanty,Registrar graced the occasion. Shri Rajesh Singh,Chief of Repertory Company proposed vote of thanks during the event. The Indian Classical play “Abhijanasakuntalam” written by Mahakavi Kalidas and Directed by Vidushi Prof.Rita Ganguly was showcased on the opening day of the festival.The Leh audience thoroughly enjoyed the play.
