Concluding day of the National School of Drama (NSD) Repertory Summer Theatre Festival 2025

We are delighted to share some key moments from the concluding day of the National School of Drama (NSD) Repertory Summer Theatre Festival, featuring the staging of Samudra Manthan, written by Shri Asif Ali and Music composition & direction by Shri Chittaranjan Tripathy.

An important milestone was also marked in the journey of NSD Repertory on this day. As part of its social commitment, the Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) has generously gifted a luxury bus to the NSD Repertory, supporting the troupe in bringing theatre to diverse corners of the country.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to Shri Vivek Aggarwal, Hon’ble Secretary, Ministry of Culture, for flagging off this initiative—aptly named the Rang Rath. Our sincere thanks also go to Ms. Padma Dhulipala, Executive Director (Corporate Planning & Economic Studies), IOCL, whose support was instrumental in making this initiative possible.

Our deepest appreciation extends to the audience whose presence and enthusiasm made the NSD Summer Theatre Festival a resounding success. Special thanks to Shri Chittaranjan Tripathy, Director, NSD; Shri Rajesh Singh, Chief of NSD Repertory; as well as all the artists, backstage crew, administrative staff, and support personnel for their tireless efforts.

We are also grateful to Prof. Bharat Gupt, Vice Chairman, NSD; Shri P.K. Mohanty, Registrar, NSD; Smt. Vani Tripathi, Member, NSD Society; and renowned theatre personality Shri Avtar Sahni for gracing the occasion and inspiring us with their presence.
