Closing Ceremony of First ever Summer Theatre festival – Leh-Ladakh

The National School of Drama Repertory Company in colloboration with LAHDC & CIBS,Leh presented a legendary play of NSD Repertory company “Taj Mahal Ka Tender” written by Ajay Shukla and Directed by Chittaranjan Tripathy in the closing ceremony of First ever Summer Theatre festival at Arya Nagarjuna Auditorium on 30 June 2024, Leh-Ladakh.The play is a satire adorned with heart touching contemporary compositions by Shri Chittaranjan Tripathy who sang and wrote the lyrics as well. The play got multiple standing ovations. Shri Tripathy got a standing ovation for his mesmerising act as Shahjahan as well. At the closing ceremony, Shri Elijah Gergan Educationist and Philosopher, Shri Stanzin Chosphel ,Executive Councillor,Lahdc Leh, Shri Rajesh Ranjan, Vice Chancellor, CIBS graced the occasion along with Shri Chittaranjan Tripathy,Director,NSD. Shri Sonam Stobgas,Lamo and Shri Avtar Sahni , NSD Society member witnessed the show. Shri Chittaranjan Tripathy thanked the audience and requested them to continue with theatre as that upholds our culture. At the end of the event Shri Rajesh Singh,Repertory Chief proposed vote of thanks.
