SYNOPSIS

A heron while foraging gets its bills fastened together with a tuft of aquatic weed. He is unable to open his mouth and cannot feed himself. Being unfed for a couple of days it is at the verge of death. Lanka and Bhola, two village lads, whose only pastime is to hunt birds with catapult, discover that unfortunate bird.

They are delighted and think either to relish the flesh or to sell the bird to a picnic party from the town. Riya, one of the girls of the picnic party, has other thoughts in her mind. She is opposed to killing a helpless dying life (the Heron). Lanka, too, wants to save the life of the Heron but with a different intention. It will make a good dish, he thinks, if it can be made plump. Bhuti, another little village vagabond apprehended, that the bird is unsafe in the cruel hands of Lanka. A sudden change comes over Lanka and Bhola.

They are now determined to bring the Heron back to normal life. At last love wins over death.
